Art - John Cargile
John is excited to have space to create at Harbor of Dreams Art!
New, figurative/abstract sculptural works are in process using wood, plywood and various finishes. His interests in geometry and different concepts of randomness may show up in this new work. Past sculptures have been inspired by hurricane Katrina and its impact on the people of his childhood home town of New Orleans, resulting in ship forms, "markers" to measure rising waters, buoys and reefs. Four of these larger works were included in "weatherwise/otherwise: Artists Respond to Climate Change" at the Dalton Gallery of Agnes Scott College.
